I come from a family where women have always worked. My two grandmothers have always been working women in charge of the business, as well as my mother, a lawyer by vocation and an entrepreneur. They are hard-working and courageous women, who have done and continue to do their best to provide for their family, and my sister Paula, is quite an example of that.
I remember the day we decided to open La Botigueta de la Cort Reial. After a few phone calls with family, especially with my father who has always told me that the world belongs to women, while we were in lockdown during COVID pandemic, we decided it was time for a change. And we like challenges! So here I am, almost three years later, happy and excited as the first day.
But it wasn't until I became a mother (exactly today, March 8th, a year and a half ago) that I realizedhow amazing women are and whatever we set our minds to, we will achieve it, and if we don't, we will fight until the end.
My days are non-stop and I am not only the Carlota you see but many others: mother, wife, friend, athlete, entrepreneur, etc.!
I get up at half past six to go for a run or to the gym. I recently challenged myself to run a half marathon and I made it! I bring Nil to the nursery school and I take care of household chores (we try to do fifty fifty). I work at the store all day, and from Monday to Saturday (Yes, finding a balance is hard, we all know this as mums!), not only working with customers but I also manage social media, I select the new collections, I create all the graphic content and I write in the blog.
I am also a woman who likes spending time with my friends, even though it is just a quick coffee, and with my partner, Albert, who always encourages me with all my decisions and always says that I will reach my goals.
